I have a bit of a problem. You see…I REALLY like to start craft projects. I like starting projects more than finishing them. So my crafty WIP (work in process) pile sometimes gets a little out of hand. It’s time for me to tackle them. I thought I’d start by making a list of all of my current WIPs and then start knocking them off one by one, either by finishing them, or (at least in the case of crochet), frogging them. (If you aren’t familiar with crochet, frogging basically means pulling the project apart).
My list is below. I’ve inserted photos or links to a project or item where appropriate, along with some notes or details about each one.
Crochet WIPS

I posted about this one before, but I love how soft and squishy this one is.

Mulberry Afghan (Tunisian Crochet)
My best friend gave me a beautiful set of Clover Interchangeable Tunisian crochet hooks, and I’m using them for this blanket. I have put this one on hold for too long – I need to finish it!

Corner-to-Corner Throw Blanket
I absolutely love the colors of this blanket. Especially the Red Heart Super Saver Monet yarn.

This shawl is made with a Premier Yarns cake that I’ve deconstructed so I can have the separate panel colors. It’s so soft. I think this will be the first project in the crochet list I attempt to finish, besides the skirt (noted below) that I need for an upcoming cruise.

I might frog this one. I finished one panel, but I didn’t find this one enjoyable to work on and I have very little desire to complete the other panel.
- Raglan Sweater (my own pattern) – This one is a top down sweater with a bit of detail at the shoulders that I was designing myself. I got a little stuck once I joined under the arms and I haven’t decided how to proceed or if I even really want to complete it. I might frog it.
- Skirt (my own pattern) – I’m about halfway through this one. I’m making a skirt to wear on an upcoming cruise, and plan to make a second one so that I can have photos to go along with the pattern I’m trying to write.
Diamond Painting WIPS

Artist Room from Diamond Art Club
I haven’t made too much progress with this one (the image on the left is from DAC of what the canvas will look like). I’ve only done a small corner. But the colors are gorgeous and I really want to hang this one in my craft room.

Mackenzie’s Treasure from Diamond Art Club
I only got about 1/4 of this one completed before I decided to work on something else.
- Mystery painting from Diamond Art Club – If you’ve never seen a mystery diamond painting, these are done without color, so you don’t really know what the image is until you put the drills onto the canvas. I do happen to know what the image is because other people posted it. It’s a complicated one with lots of colors.
Cross-Stitch WIPS

Mystery Stitch-a-long (Squirrel)
This was a stitch-a-long from Meloca Designs in 2023 that I never completed. It’s so cute, I really have no excuse not to finish this one.

The Daisy Girl
This was a project my grandmother, who passed in 2018, started. I found it when my mom gave me a bunch of cross-stitch fabrics, patterns, and floss she found. I’d like to finish it, frame it, and give it to my mother as a gift.
Miscellaneous

A knit scarf
Probably my one and only knitting project. I love how it looks but I don’t enjoy knitting at all. I was determined to teach myself to knit, so I’m glad I did, but I don’t think I will pick up a set of needles again once it is finished.

Beaded embroidery canvas
I do love adding the tiny beads to this but it takes SO long to do. I’ve only completed a tiny section in the upper left area. I don’t think this one will be completed anytime soon.

Beaded embroidery mandala
This beaded embroidery project is far more manageable, I just simply forgot about it. It’s a mix of regular embroidery and beads, so I should be able to finish this one rather quickly if I can just focus on it.
My plan is to post blog updates on this WIP list as I complete (or frog) these projects – probably a few projects at a time. I am going to try to finish at least a handful of these before starting something new…but no promises.
